Position Information:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems. Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and supplies. Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation. May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and computer systems. Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Preferred

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Clinical Laboratory Science Or  Medical Technology Required   Or Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Required - And Bachelor's Degree Related Field Required   With Certification/Licensure   Required - Within 6 Months of Hire Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology With Preferred Experience   Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
American Society for Clinical Pathology Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Preferred

Hours of Work:
11a-11p or 1p - 11p (3 or 4 days per week)

Weekend Requirements:
Every Third

Call Requirements:
