This is a great opportunity to meet hiring managers from the various WakeMed departments - for Mental Health Tech and Nurse Aide opportunities.

Mental Health Tech I:
The Mental Health Tech I provides direct patient care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse by performing non-professional patient care services, crisis intervention, therapeutic interactions and behavior management. The Mental Health Tech I utilizes non-violent physical techniques to de-escalate patients that range in stature from 100 - 300 lbs.

Nurse Aide I:
The Nurse Aide I Participates in implementation of the nursing process by providing patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Communicates timely and accurate information about the patient to the Registered Nurse. Documents patient information in the electronic medical record, supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care. The Nurse Aide I supports the mission vision values and aspirational goals and adheres to regulatory agencies, departmental standards, and WakeMed policies and procedures to promote a professional and healthy work environment.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Related Area Required

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred - And College Courses Nurse Aide Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Nurse Aide I Required for Nurse Aides and Mental Health Tech I - And Crisis Prevention Institute Certification Preferred for Mental Health Tech I.

To Be Determinded

Weekend Requirements:
As Needed

Call Requirements:
As Needed
