*******LOCATION******MOBILE*********The Tissue and Recovery Coordinator will provide tissue and research recovery as stated in AOC policy and procedure manual. The Tissue and Recovery Coordinator will work with the Tissue Manager, Assistant Tissue Manager, and the Tissue and Research Procurement Technicians(TRPT) to ensure that the day to day supplies necessary for the recovery and shipping of tissues and research tissues are on-hand and available by implementing the AOC supply management procedures. The Tissue and Recovery Coordinator maintains a presence on the tissue recovery call schedule and is expected to provide recovery in assigned areas. Serves in a Team Leader capacity on recoveries where designated as Team Leader on the monthly call schedule. Maintains current and develops new relationships with referring institutions, ME/Coroner offices, and funeral homes. Serves as the operational support liaison to the Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance Department to respond to requests for additional information to complete recovery charts, even in cases where not direct participation occurred. The Tissue and Recovery Coordinator is a full-time position where administrative support is a priority when not actively participating in tissue / research recovery activities. Non-Certified Tissue and Recovery Coordinators per diem compensation will be based on the level of participation after completing the first five (5) cases each month.
