The RN-Procurement Transplant Coordinator I position allows an individual who may be interested in a career in organ and tissue procurement to become proficient in the protocols and procedures of the AOC organ and tissue procurement programs. The position allows a person on-the-job training until proficiency is obtained.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing, ICU/Critical Care experience, Public speaking and good interpersonal skills required. Limited travel will be necessary. Must: (1) enter 4,000 keystrokes per hour; (2) possess basic knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.Preferred: LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION: Required: Current Alabama RN license. Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.Preferred: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC)TRAITS & SKILLS: Must be self-directed / self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
