Work Schedule: Flexi/PRN
Responsible for assisting in the development of treatment plans and subsequently rendering the radiation therapy treatment. Position is supervised by either the RTT Supervisor or by the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist. They do not supervise others and receive a moderate amount of supervision. Responds to the unique needs of pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients as the need arises.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Radiation Therapy. Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement. Must be capable of assisting patients onto treatment couch. Must be able to lift lead blocks (40 lbs.) to slot on collimator. Capability to perform tasks with little supervision.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: Currently registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Technologist with Radiation Therapy Designation R.T. (R)(T)(ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
