Position Description:
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Work Location: Pathology, Community Practice, Montgomery

To evaluate cytologic preparations microscopically to determine presence or absence of malignant cells, pre-malignant changes or inflammatory lesions and issue final or provisional diagnosis as appropriate. To include identification and subjective interpretation of disease processes. To handle cytologic specimens including, accessioning, preparation and reporting, following quality control procedures and maintaining documentation. To perform cytopreparatory procedures, including troubleshooting when necessary to ensure consistent results.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Currently credentialed with Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
