The Procurement Transplant Coordinator I position allows an individual who may be interested in a career in organ and tissue procurement to become proficient in the protocols and procedures of the AOC organ and tissue procurement programs.  The position allows a person on-the-job training until proficiency is obtained.


Required: Must possess qualifications for one of the following:  CRT or RRT, LPN, RN, or PA or prior experience as a procurement transplant coordinator for a minimum of 12 months at another organ procurement organization.  Public speaking and good interpersonal skills required.  Limited travel will be necessary.



Required: Current licensure/certification as required by professional organizations in area that employee is degreed (CRT, RRT, LPN, RN, PA) or work experience as a procurement transplant coordinator in another organ procurement organization can substitute for licensure requirement.  Current certification of BCLS and/or ACLS completion.  If hired, employee must obtain CPTC certification within 24 months of hire.

Preferred: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC)
