The Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician will report directly to the AOC Tissue Managers for all administrative support.  Under direct supervision of the Procurement Team Leader, the Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician is responsible for assistance in the procurement, packaging, and transportation of bone, soft tissue, and heart for valve for distribution to the designated tissue processor.  Responsibilities include on-call status.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: High school diploma; One (1) year medical, surgical, EMT or nursing experience required.    

Preferred: Familiarity with anatomy, aseptic technique, principles of sterile fields, and surgical instruments.  Experience in the field of orthopaedics.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:

Required: Valid Alabama Drivers license.
