Position Description:
Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift

Location: Sports Medicine Clinic, UAB Highlands

To be responsible for scheduling, directing and implementing the daily functions for assigned clinical area. To provide quality patient care and quality service to physicians. To implement athletic trainer certified (ATC) specific duties. To utilize critical thinking abilities in evaluation of care and the triage process of patients. To display good rapport and professionalism with all customers. Under the general direction and/or supervision of the Operations Manager and Director the ATC Supervisor shall support and execute clinic operations  within scope; adhere to all applicable state, federal and local laws pertaining to an ambulatory care center; and monitor standards as established by UAHSF to meet all applicable accreditation standards. To provide professional leadership to clinical, technical and administrative employees within scope of responsibility.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in Athletic Training, Physical or Health Education, Exercise Physiology or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in an outreach, rehab or physician practice setting or Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Physical or Health Education, Exercise Physiology or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in an outreach, rehab or physician practice setting required. Experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in a physician practice setting preferred.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Currently certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC). Must obtain licensure for Athletic Training by the State of Alabama upon hire. Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
