GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides a variety of specialized services that require interaction with patients, visitors and other members of the patient care team. Greets patients and reviews required medical testing (i.e. vital signs, lab work, etc.) as designated by either physician or pre-designated protocol. Performs imaging procedures as ordered by a physician under the guidelines of radiology technology standards. Performs a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and decision-making skills within well-established parameters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols.
2. Supports staff working in all imaging modalities.
3. Assists with orientation and training of staff.
4. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
5. Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
6. Ensures procedures are processed for interpretation by accurately preparing digital images, prior images, and reports for electronic submission utilizing the EMR, Radiology Information Systems, and PACS.
7. Assists supervisor with QA and QI projects.
8. Assists with accreditation processes and ongoing monitoring of modalities.
9. Assists with administrative duties to ensure efficient daily operations of the Imaging department such as but not limited to ordering supplies or services, troubleshoots issues, and escalating service calls.

Position Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree required from an approved school of radiologic technology and two (2) years’ experience in radiography with advanced level training or radiologist. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.

Current registration as a radiologic technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RTARRT{R}). Current CPR certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
The work location for this role is onsite.
