Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Specific Job Description:
The program delivers full life-cycle systems integration and engineering services to the missions of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The program is chartered to provide technical leadership for many of NGA’s highest priorities, including the Foundation GEOINT (FG) project which is dedicated to modernize capabilities and reduce redundancies for eight data domains with initial focus on Aeronautical, Maritime, Topographical, and Elevation production and dissemination. The FG team provides input to acquisition strategy, and defines solution design packages for future procurements compatible with the NSG architecture.
The FG Systems Integrator will provide engineering services to: (1) Advance the architecture from a product centric production model to a data-centric production model; (2) Enable the Map of the World (MoW) initiative by providing a single, seamless, integrated environment for analysts to access content; and (3) enable the incorporation of Object Based Production (OBP), Structured Observation Management (SOM), and Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) into the FG architecture.
•Perform requirements analysis and capability gap analysis between vendor product and segment requirements
•Capture FG requirements baselines in system RFCs
•Integrate GeoNames and International Boundaries into the future FG architecture
•Provide technical support to the Foundation GEOINT Dissemination Services (FGDS) development effort to ensure a module approach is built consistent with the FG architecture
•Support the InnoVision prototype to bring PLACES into the future FG architecture
•Perform a gap analysis for exploitation and product production requirements to support the FG mission
