Position Description:

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking an information security engineer – senior to support Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Sensors and Mission Equipment Division (SMED) based in Aberdeen MD. Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Aerial Sensors, Terrestrial Sensors, and Aviation Mission Equipment systems. The candidate will support SMED systems.

Responsibilities

  • IASAE Level III positions are responsible for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of a DoD IA architecture, system, or system component for use within Computing Environment (CE), Network Environments (NE), and enclave environments.
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of Department of Defense (DoD) Information Systems (IS) are functional and secure. This may include designs for program of record systems and special purpose environments with platform IT interconnectivity.
  • Responsible for system or network designs that encompass multiple CE and/or NE to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
  • DoD 8570.01-M spells out the tasks and duties in detail and the DFARS stipulates compliance with the DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the functions spelled out in Table C10.T7. IASAE Level III Functions in DoD 8570.01-M.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other engineering/technical discipline with an information security of cyber security concentration
  • Twelve years of professional experience, appropriate computing environment certification, and IA WORKFORCE SYSTEM ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER (IASAE) SPECIALTY qualified in accordance with standards spelled out in DoD 8570.01-M and the Army Information Assurance(IA) Training and Certification Best Business Practice, corrected 6 Aug 2010.
    • Experience can substitute for the degree provided the person has BOTH the relevant experience AND is fully Information Assurance (IA) certified in accordance with AR 25-2, Information Assurance, and the associated best business practice for IA Training and certification (IA Training BBP).
    • Experience can substitute for the degree provided the person has BOTH the relevant experience AND is fully Information Assurance (IA) certified in accordance with AR 25-2, Information Assurance, and the associated best business practice for IA Training and certification (IA Training BBP).

Security Clearance Requirement

An active TS/SCI clearance and current investigation are required.
