Position Description:
We are currently looking for an Environmental Tech I - Casual. Under general supervision, performs routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks to properly treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost effective practices, policies, and procedures. 

This is a casual/temporary position. There is no guarantee of hours in any given week or guarantee of duration of assignment. This position is not entitled to employee benefits such as health insurance, 401K participation or life insurance. Casual/temporary employees that do convert to a benefits eligible position will be offered company sponsored benefits and permitted to participate in benefit programs consistent with their hire date as a Stericycle casual/temporary employee. 

•Consolidates material for shipped for off-site treatment. 
•Completes paperwork properly and timely. 
•May assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations, policies, practices, and procedures. 
•Follows and understands all Health & Safety /Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) procedures as outlined in the procedures and policies. 
•Operates fork trucks to move materials for storage and loading and unloading. 
•Collects samples of inbound waste for analysis. 
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Education equivalent to a High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Safe driving record is required.
