Position Description:
Come join Stericycle as we look to hire people into our HRIS team in our Northbrook, IL office.  Stericycle was founded back in 1989 and started as a medical waste management company.  Since that time, Stericycle has made numerous strategic acquisitions that has enabled us to get into compliance and sustainability waste services, brand protection solutions, and customer contact solutions.  

We are currently seeking a HR Services Coordinator to assists in various human resources functions, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform data entry into the HRIS system, including, initial new hire processing, as well as team member status changes, personal data, compensation, benefits, performance reviews, tax deductions, E-Verify, I-9 information, transfers, termination date and reasons, compliance, etc. to support the Corporate Human Resource function. Also recognizes the effect of retroactive and mid-cycle pay adjustments; enters accordingly to payroll spreadsheet for processing by taking into consideration payroll cycles and data entry timelines/procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing. Follows up with managers/supervisors regarding any and all missing information. Ensures that all paperwork for new hires has been received and reviewed prior to filing. Verifies completeness of team member information, including auditing of I-9 Form documentation, new hire documents, in accordance with established procedures. Evaluates entries to ensure consistency and accuracy. Brings questions/concerns to the attention of manager/supervisor/HR Generalist or Corporate Compensation for clarification/resolution. Works with Corporate and Business Unit Finance departments to ensure payroll Job class codes are correct and accurate for budgeting and financial reporting purposes. Responsible for providing routine adhoc reports and running other miscellaneous reports already established for general audit purposes. Provides systems training and communication as necessary. Position Requirements:
Education equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by courses in business administration, demonstrating basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. Two or more years of experience in a human resources/payroll environment, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of human resource policies and procedures. Provides input to the development and communication of HRIS/Payroll policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of payroll cycles, data entry timelines and procedures and how they affect the timing of data entry. General knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably with SAP, ADP or Enterprise preferred. Demonstrates good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrates the ability to bring recurring issues to manager/supervisor’s attention and assist in resolving problems.
