Position Description:
This position has responsibility for planning and implementing comprehensive learning programs utilizing learning meth-odologies and technologies for the Communication and Related Solutions business unit. In addition, the incumbent will address changing needs and future direction of the training department and its offerings. For new technologies and learn-ing methods, this role will also assist with the adoption and use of those technologies across the business units. This role will supervise, coach and conduct performance management for members of the training team.
Key Position Activities:
• Provide consultative services with business partners about overall approach to learning, using practices that include: instructional design, delivery approach, rollout, implementation and integration of learning solutions
• Manage, mentor and motivate a close-knit team to re-imagine training content and strategy
• Lead and coordinate all aspects of processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of information and data residing on the learning technology platforms, including maintenance and storage of course materials and other content
• Contribute to the support, administration and adoption of the LMS, support of technologies including eLearning and virtual learning
• Design, develop and deliver functional training for multiple channels and different training methodologies (ISD, eLearning, job aids, virtual classroom) Maintain outstanding delivery satisfaction statistics to drive program success
• Contribute to the support of LMS systems standards, policies and procedures. Participation on the LMS Corporate Governance Committee and LMS vendor user group
• Supervise Training Supervisor and Instructional Designers:
• Communicate performance standards and objectives
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with Team Members to discuss day-to-day performance (e.g. attendance, attitude, work performance) and assist with developing corrective action plans, as needed
• Evaluate direct reports performance and administer annual reviews in a timely fashion while recommending salary adjustments, promotions, transfers and dismissals
• Keep team informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and strategic business unit by conducting periodic meetings
• Monitor department work productivity, report any trends and recommend and implement changes to continually improve work productivity
• Develop subordinates through continued coaching and feedback on performance
Educate exisiting and new team members on processes in developing content to ensure they have the appropriate tools and knowledge to complete their jobs effectively and efficiently
Provide direction to cross functional learning contributors
Seek educational opportunity, self-directed learning and/or membership in professional organizations
While minimal, must be able to travel
Perform other duties and participate in special projects as required or requested

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Instructional Design Certification preferred
Experience with learning technologies including LMS, Virtual learning and learning authoring tools
Experience with supervision, coaching and developing a team
Five or more years of experience in Instructional Design, learning methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM, Adult Learning theories, Kirkpatrick Evaluation and learning management systems
