Position Description:
The Director of Marketing will lead and manage a team of marketing professionals responsible for developing strategy and messaging for all service lines under Stericycle Compliance Solutions.
This role provides leadership, development and direction in the implementation of marketing and sales strategies to maximize revenue and brand recognition.
In addition, this position will create an environment that is customer focused and promotes consistent innovation.
1) Hire, develop and manage a team of marketing professionals so that each member is performing at their best/most effective levels in the pursuit of organizational objectives. Establishes and communicates performance standards and objectives. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide timely feedback. Support and communicate company policies and culture activities.
Key Position Activities:

2) Develop the overall go-to-market strategy, execute that strategy, measure progress and provide updates to stakeholders. Manage marketing spend based on the annual strategic plan and overall departmental budget.
3) Implement the optimum structure, processes and work environment for a high performing team. Set individual priorities, adjust, measure and communicates the priorities for the go-to-market team based on input from team members, organizational stakeholders and the VP of Marketing.
4) Monitor and analyze metrics that track the progress of marketing programs/initiatives and communicate those metrics on a regular basis with relevant stakeholders. Adjust priorities based on internal and market forces. Ensure that priorities are met.
5) Drives and takes responsibility for all go-to-market tactics in the team’s target market segment. Develop detailed action plans for market entry and or pilot launch phase including success criteria.
6) Works closely with other Marketing teams and other non- marketing departments (sales, operations, management, HR, IT and product development) to understand market requirements, set/manage expectations and coordinate activities
7) Manages third party vendor relationships with an eye on building best practices and utilizing third party capabilities to their fullest extent

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or other related field. MBA preferred
• 10+ years of marketing experience with at least 5+ years of digital experience with integrated media and marketing platforms that include experience in digital and traditional marketing
• Five or more years of profit center management responsibility, including hands-on experience building/maintaining a budget. Price management, tactical plan development, and metrics monitoring, profitability and gross margin analysis skills are required.
• Successful track record of increasing revenue and profit within a B2B digital marketing environment
• Five or more years hiring, growing, nurturing, guiding and managing a team of high-performing individuals in a professional environment
• Proven project and team management abilities, with direct, hands-on experience managing large budget digital and social media projects and agencies
• Experience creating, presenting, and overseeing the execution of traditional, digital, and trade-show/event strategies
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work across diverse and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong analytical skills. Experience navigating within a CRM system beneficial
• Demonstrated experience with implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization with multiple brands.
