Position Description:
We are currently seeking an Operations Assistant to support the Retail waste Transportation Department and work closely with Regional Operations Managers. Primary responsibility will be for the truck permitting and licensing for our fleet. Responsible for data which ensures operational compliance. Duties will include: Manage the acquisition and procurement of trucks including the transfer and delivery process from beginning to end. a. Review Leasing Agreements and reconcile vendor billing/services, returns etc b. Manage Retail Fleet permitting and licensing c. Manage all insurance needs for rental and leased units based on state guidelines across the country. d. Manage, track, disseminate, and pay transponders and all fees associated with tolls and transponders across the country e. Manage the vehicle condition reports (VCR) for over 300 trucks to ensure they are compliant with DOT rules and regulations. Maintain database of asset details, vehicle identification, history, and track and record the location of vehicles and drivers. f. Maintain the driver/employee database daily by creating, updating, and terminating employee information as required. g. Manages vehicle transfers between domicile locations as requested and necessary from a logistical standpoint. Continuously monitor and reinforce safety awareness among over 200 techs by monitoring recalls , licensing, permitting, insurance and safety advisories Inform Transportation supervisors of necessary training and DOT compliance requirements and due dates. Responsible for assisting in key special projects h. TOTD compliance tips (Tip of the Day) i. Format and Upload TOTDs via Constant Contact software , which provides training reinforcement for over 500 employees ii. Assign weekly compliance testing for employees as well as provide the reporting to the program manager. Serve as back up to Program Manager for ensuring TOTDs, TOTWs and Motivational Monday continue uninterrupted

Position Requirements:
• Education equivalent to 4-year degree or equivalent work experience • Two or more years of Transportation/Logistic experience required. • Demonstrates knowledge of DOT Regulations. • Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications to include spreadsheets, word processing, outlook, data entry.
