Oversee compliance at assigned field locations. Identify, compile, and prepare all regulatory reports and facility audits. Review permits for amendments and renewals; support acquisition transition; identify up-coming regulations and work with local and corporate team and regulators to determine impact. Provide support to other S H & C departments, as needed, to assist in safety, claims, training and medical surveil-lance, and to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
•Maintain facility compliance with all permits and environmental regulations by auditing facilities at least quarterly..
•Ensure compliance with all DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
•Write and submit regulatory reports and permit renewals.
•Identify and analyze amendments to permits and work with field staff and regulatory group to review the regulations to identify changes needed.
•Provide regulatory support for active acquisitions.
•Perform comprehensive S H & C audits as part of a cross- functional team (~1-2 per year)
•Maintain SCM ( Safety and Compliance Matter) and stay current on all as-signed tasks.
Perform other related duties as required or requested.
•Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Healthcare, or Environmental Discipline, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating knowledge of ESH regulations and compliance with experience managing customer compliance programs..
•Three to five years of related experience, demonstrating good knowledge of regulatory requirements as they apply to the waste industry..
•Demonstrates working knowledge of all federal, state, and local ESH regulations.
•Demonstrates proficient computer skills.
•Must have personal vehicle available for travel and be capable of driving to various facilities.
