We are currently seeking an Sr. Auditor - Coding Compliance to project lead for coding audits for medical facilities and occasionally provides training to physicians and staff.
•Leads team of auditors to audit medical insurance claim codes and other documentation for customers to verify accuracy.
•Presents audit findings to customer.
•Provides onsite support and training to staff
•Performs other related duties and special projects as required or requested.
Educational and Experience:
•Education equivalent to college degree or the equivalent in related work experience.
•Ten or more years of experience of medical audits or medical coding with billing certification with the ability to complete an audit.
•Demonstrates a proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a demonstrated ability to complete internet research.
•Must possess good excellent and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrates an ability to ask questions and gather information in order to create customer requested reports.
•Demonstrates an ability to identify problems and suggest possible causes and solutions. Good decision making skills; an ability to seek timely assistance from more experienced auditors or to elevate issues when appropriate
•Demonstrates an ability to present clear and concise information to all customers.
•Demonstrates an ability to function independently, resolve problems without direction, and take initiative.
•Demonstrates an ability to identify problems as they occur; follow standards, guidelines, and procedures; apply past experience and processes to current assignments.
•Team Player – Works with people in such a manner as to build high morale and achieve group commitment to goals and objectives.
•Demonstrates strong time management and project management/task prioritization skills.
