Position Description:
This position will primarily be responsible for preparing and analyzing complex income tax positions and returns on a multi-state level and assisting with the preparation of the federal return. This role will also gather information for tax audits and respond to tax related questions and requests.
Key Job Activities:
Responsible for the preparation of State and local corporate income and franchise tax returns, including supporting work-papers and compilation of state apportionment detail.
Gather and analyze information needed for the preparation of state and local income and franchise tax returns. Assist in preparation of portions of the federal income tax return.
Ensure quality and compliance with internal control requirements in execution of assigned tasks and compliance routines.
Preparation of quarterly state and local income tax estimated payments and extensions.
Reconcile Tax Accounts for tax activity and changes.
Assist with income tax audits and communicate with local business units in supporting responses to audit inquiries from tax authorities.
Provide tax research and documentation of tax filing positions
Assist with special projects as needed

Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent. CPA is a plus.
Two years of experience preparing corporate income tax returns either in a public accounting or a corporate tax de-partment.
Experience working with tax software applications such as OneSource Income Tax and Checkpoint Research soft-ware.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent analytical, problem solving ability, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate initiative and technical tax expertise.
Ability to manage process flow, multiple projects, and meet deadlines within strict time parameters
Ability to organize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work as an individual and in a team oriented environment with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
