The Regional Vice President (RVP) will be responsible for establishing overall direction and strategic initiatives for assigned region. Responsible for the overall financial results of the area(s), while managing logistics and operations. The RVP is responsible for optimizing the performance of the assets (investments/resources) and operations for their district and ensures that its specific goals (revenue and EBITA). In conjunction with the Sales, Customer Service, Accounting and Safety, and Environmental groups, ensure that all regulatory and safety issues are addressed and are within compliance. Ensure that the area meets or exceeds its goals as it pertains to regulatory compliance, revenue growth, budget, profit growth, account retention, safety and continuous improvement.
•The RVP participates in setting the strategic direction and provides input to long and short term (budget) planning for their region. Executes on the strategic objectives for the specified region and provides leadership, direction, and monitors performance against these objectives.
• Monitors performance versus the P&L and takes the necessary actions to achieve the financial objectives within the quarter and the year. Diligently manages capital spending focusing on compliance, safety and productivity projects with good return on investment
•Administers and communicates all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance and safety.
•Helps the team improve performance and productivity (routing, plant operations, in-service) by focusing on service and cost metrics and developing and implementing continuous improvement plans.
•Works with Sales and Marketing to deliver best in class service and drive high levels of customer retention.
•Participates in support of sales and marketing in the development and implementation of new services to help drive incremental growth for the company
•In conjunction with the Sales, Customer Service, Accounting and Safety, and Environmental groups, ensure that all regulatory compliance and safety issues are addressed and are within compliance.
•Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Ten to fifteen years of progressive experience in an operations capacity, demonstrating the ability to manage people in a manufacturing and/or transportation environment.
•Demonstrates the ability to provide safe and regulatory compliant work conditions for all team members. Direct experience working with fleet management and routing systems.
•Demonstrates knowledge and the ability to stay abreast of applicable regulations and codes, as they apply to the waste and document destruction industry and those specific to area of responsibility.
•Demonstrated successful leadership of a multiple branch/unit environment. Developed, implemented and delivered “excellent customer service” team culture.
•Demonstrates the ability to manage within an established budget as well as strong knowledge of budgetary processes, P&L statements, asset management, and project management.
•Demonstrates sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must be able to input, monitor and manipulate data within these applications.
•Available to travel (over 50%).
