This is a newly created role that will provide strategic direction and leadership in the design and delivery of programs and processes focused on enhancing diversity, inclusion and team member engagement.  This position will have direct impact in building a diverse and inclusive work environment where diversity is valued and represented and team members feel welcome and able to bring their authenticity to deliver results. This role will also focus on the various touchpoints in an employee lifecycle that increases engagement, supports our commitment to diversity and enhances the Stericycle culture.

Manage and create an overall strategic roadmap with short and long term initiatives that address organizational wide employee engagement, culture, and diversity and inclusion goals.

Partner with key stakeholders and HR to translate the strategy to effectively integrate D&I into current business strategies and operational initiatives.

Provides direction and coaching to Diversity Council, Employee Resource Groups (ERG) Chairs and Culture Ambassadors.

Manage the rollout, implementation and action planning of engagement programs.

Develops and manages organizational wide, diversity, inclusion and engagement metrics. Measures impact of new initiatives against key performance indicators and metrics to monitor effectiveness of existing programs and initiatives making recommended changes if needed.

Partner with the Talent Acquisition to drive continued commitment to building talent pipelines for underrepresented groups and create an inclusive hiring process.

As a key member of the Learning & Development team this position will partner in development or curating of learning programs that drive diversity and culture awareness and employee engagement.

This position will also perform a wide variety of duties which include but are not limited to project management, project implementation, analytical reporting, high-level communications, training and education content development, and other general support driving diversity, engagement and culture.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business or related field or the equivalent in related work experience.

Minimum of 5 + years of progressive experience in the field of Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion.

The ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and presentation skills) at all levels of the organization.

Project Management Skills: ability to organize priorities and effectively manage projects.

Proficient in establishing priorities and meeting swift deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment.

Experience working with large global organizations with diverse employee demographics strongly preferred.

Experience working with all levels of management and team members and the ability to work with cross functional teams.
