We are currently seeking an Accountant to provide support to the Accounting and Accounts Payable departments by ensuring data integrity of financial information, providing timely & accurate reporting to management & external public, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Analyze, prepare and code consolidated invoices. Evaluate and audit the spending, maintain the integrity of the financial data, and initiate process improvements.
•Manage and process approximately 3000 payment disbursements per week, inclusive of paper checks, ACH, EFT, and credit card. Maintain control in compliance with company procedures and SOX.
•Support Accounts Payable. Inclusive of, but not limited to, researching vendor inquiries and misapplied or returned payments, releasing credit card and ACH payments, etc.
•Support Accounting department. Inclusive of, but not limited to, journal entry allocations to maintain the integrity of the financial statements, account reconciliations, or any work related to ensure the accuracy of the financial data.
•Assist with treasury. Responsibilities include accounting, administrative, and control functions related to cash disbursements.
•Responsible for the administrative support of the Accounting and Accounts Payable Departments. Inclusive of, but not limited to, managing the corporate credit card program, cataloging documents, etc.
•Miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned.
•Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required, demonstrating an understanding of & the ability to proficiently interpret, apply, & explain GAAP.
•Up to two years of Finance/Accounting experience preferred, but not required.
•Demonstrates general knowledge of basic accounting process flows & concepts and the ability to maintain accurate financial records & prepare clear and accurate reports.
•Prior experience with Solomon preferred but not required. Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office software with Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
