Our Manager, Compensation manages a team of Sr. Compensation Analysts and administers and assists in developing Company Compensation programs for our U.S.-based team members.  Manages and coordinates compensation projects for field and corporate functions.Manages the compensation team to oversee the salary review process, develops methods for the team to determine market value and grade levels for jobs, and creates consistent templates and methodology for the team to use in market reviews and other analyses.Coordinates with HR colleagues to ensure accuracy of employee data used in compensation programs. 

1)

Work with all levels of Stericycle management and HR generalists to identify and define projects that would improve/enhance present compensation practices.

2)

Prepares informational materials, including training materials, to assist managers and human resource generalists in understanding and participating in compensation philosophy and processes. Facilitate training for management and HR.

3)

Model and calculate impact of salary increase projections; design/update new merit increase matrices and ranges each year. 

4)

Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing compensation.

Design and generate reports from the HRIS, as needed, in order to capture data useful in compensation analysis for various recommendations.  Works with HRIS regarding requirements and testing for new/upgrades to compensation-related system enhancements.

Participates in the development and implementation of new compensation plans, processes, and communication tools.  Complete special projects as required or requested. 

7)

May respond to requests and participate in projects relating to functions outside the scope of the compensation area.

Performs other related duties as required or requested including, but not limited to:

  • Responds to day-to-date compensation-related questions concerns. 
  • Evaluating new and revised positions; recommending appropriate grade and title. 
  • Designing job descriptions.
  • Participating in and analyzing annual salary surveys.
  • Evaluates geographic market surveys.

 

 

 

Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business, or other related field, or the equivalent in related work experience.  Demonstrates the ability to perform complex compensation-related analysis and make recommendations in support of analysis. 

Five to seven years of Compensation experience required, demonstrating sound knowledge of market pricing, job documentation, HRIS systems, and the ability to multi-task and make solid recommendations based on detailed market analysis.

One to two years demonstrating the ability to lead moderately complex to complex projects, which could potentially be long-term in nature.

Previous exposure to international compensation a plus.

Demonstrates sound knowledge of local, state, and federal compliance laws, including DOL, FLSA, Anti-Trust Regulations.

Demonstrates the ability to work with all levels of management in making grade recommendations for new and revised positions, as well as Total Compensation package recommendations for new hires and organizational advancement opportunities. 

Demonstrates the ability to develop and present compensation-related training and information to all levels of personnel within the organization.

Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. 

Position Requirements:

Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business, or other related field, or the equivalent in related work experience.  Demonstrates the ability to perform complex compensation-related analysis and make recommendations in support of analysis.
