This position is responsible for the preparation of monthly business analysis, monthly financial closes (consolidation), as well as assist the Accounting Team and VP Finance with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting. This position will also support continuous improvement efforts and assist in acquisition inte-gration and consolidation projects.
Coordinate the month-end close schedule including the preparation and review of the Balance Sheet and Income Statements for the HCS business. Ensure compliance with all financial controls (reviews, approvals, etc.) Prepare quarterly supporting schedules for consolidation in Stericycle’s 10K/10Q. Additionally, prepare quarterly analysis for External Audit Review on all material balances on the Domestic Balance Sheet.
Assists in the design and implementation of financial information systems; seeks ways to improve financial reporting and controls. Manage cross-functional ad hoc integration projects as needed.Support SRCL organizations with analysis and information (Tax, Treasury, Corporate Consolidations, Field Finance, and Internal Audit). Administer and provide for financial planning and budget preparation and follow up controls and comparisons relating to both short-term and long-term plans for HCS. Support the VP, Finance in preparing the Plan and Forecasts for all functions and field allocations.
Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting; or the equivalent in related work experience required. Attainment of CPA or MBA a plus. Five or more years of accounting experience required, demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of GAAP, the month end close process, general ledgers accounts and financial statements. Two or more years of supervisory/management experience required demonstrating the ability to manage a staff of accounting personnel.Demonstrates sound knowledge and ensure compliance around SEC, FASB, CASB, FTC, and other related regulatory requirements.Demonstrates superior Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency using other Microsoft Office software including Solomon and Outlook.
