Manufacturing/Production engineers possess knowledge and background in the aerospace machining/MRO industry. They are expected to work on all stages of product development from research and design to manufacture and follow up continuous product improvement. Manufacturing engineers must be capable of producing analytical data in a variety of forms, and clearly summarizing that data in reports, that can be distributed within the organization. Manufacturing engineers need to be technically minded, able to demonstrate numerical and scientific ability and have keen problem solving skills. They must be able to function in a team environment, and provide technical support to the entire organization across all product lines.
A four-year bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred, however, equivalent combination of years of related technical experience and/or training is also considered. Five year background in machining required, journeyman machinist or toolmaker background preferred, must be thoroughly familiar with both manual and CnC machining as well as “G” code programming & post processing.
