This Engineering Manager role will be responsible for the management of the service engineering team for all Helicopter engine products.  The successful candidate will also perform service engineering duties including technical support, customer interface and technical report writing.  Other duties include:

- Directs the activities and operations of the Helicopter Business Unit service engineering team through assigning, coordinating, reviewing, and participating directly in the design, development and inspection of technical or engineering work/projects.  
- Develops and implements standards, policies and procedures for engineering and technical work performed in the relevant department/project team.
- Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
- Provides technical support to the business unit's operations, in association with gas turbine engine or accessory overhaul and repair processes.  
- Provides technical support to operational areas to ensure cost, quality, and output levels meet desired business unit targets.  
- Investigates and resolves issues of product engineering, testing, quality and process repeatability.
- Provides written or verbal technical advice for customers; produces reports relating to product serviceability, repair summaries, warranty, failure analysis or product configuration.
- Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.



Qualifications include:
- University degree in an engineering discipline; or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Service engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of gas turbine engine and/or accessory theory and performance analysis.  Previous experience with M250, RR300, Arriel 1, 2, PT6T is a definite asset.
- Designated Repair Engineer approval on Helicopter products is a definite asset.
- Strong project management.
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast paced and high part volume environment.
