Accounting Analyst (Military Programs)

Performs professional, high level accounting work in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, reporting and auditing requirements. Familiarity with the FAR, DCAA and DOD acquisition requirements and DCMA contract management regulations is a plus.

Specific Accountabilities:

> Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
> Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
> Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
> Prepares financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
> Identifies accounting problems, researches possible solutions, forms conclusions to present to members of the management team or other individuals involved and processes corrections accordingly.
> Interacts with and advises various functional groups and remote locations in order to correct problem situations.
> Assists in the preparation of working papers for periodic government, external or internal audits.
> Assists with the new business bid and proposal process for the organization.
> Assists in preparation of reports for external reporting requirements.
> Carries out special projects as assigned.

> 3+ years related experience.
> Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices.
> Working knowledge of integrated financial systems/Oracle ERP experience.
> Good planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
> University degree in accounting, finance or related field; or equivalent.
> Experience working for a US Government contractor preferred.
> Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
