Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of buildings, facilities, grounds and equipment in order to project a safe, clean and efficient image for StandardAero and to ensure minimum facility/equipment related downtime in operations. Coordinates activities related to building construction/renovation and equipment installation with internal resources and subcontractors. Responsible for process compliance, risk management and loss control programs for all facilities within the San Antonio Site.
> Manages employees and contractors in the maintenance and repair of company/leased buildings and grounds.
> Ensures electrical and mechanical systems are fully operational and inspected according to corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
> Oversees the performance of janitorial function, lawn and landscaping maintenance, trash removal, painting and minor repairs and other services to ensure that such activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures.
> Oversees and directs construction of new premises and renovation of existing facilities.
> Provides emergency response coordination in the case of equipment/facility breakdown or accident.
> Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
> Actively participates as a member of the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
> Identifies, negotiates and awards contracts to external contractors and suppliers for maintenance and repair services.
> Carries out special projects as assigned.
> Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations, fire, health and safety, building, plumbing and electrical codes.
> Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining buildings and facilities.
> Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
> Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
> Working knowledge of business computing/software related to engineering documentation and maintenance management (databases, CAD, etc.)
> Completion of a college program in electrical or mechanical engineering or in another discipline related to building maintenance; or equivalent.
> Several years of supervisory experience in facility maintenance.
> Must be authorized to work in the US.
