Process Engineering Specialist/Technologist (Level III NDT)

General Accountability:
Fulfills requirements of the responsible level 3 for the StandardAero San Antonio location. Owns ISO Documents and NDT techniques related to Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, and Ultrasonic Testing. Conducts process related research consistent with business unit strategies and goals in areas including cost reduction, process improvements, equipment utilization, quality, cycle times and repair development. Responsible for procurement and commissioning of NDT equipment.
Provides training to StandardAero personnel and is the functional lead for the Non-Destructive Testing personnel at the San Antonio site. Conducts audits of San Antonio NDT, and audits in other StandardAero locations as requested. StandardAero San Antonio expects to soon obtain NADCAP certification in NDT and this person would manage the project to obtain this certification.
Specific Accountabilities
Production Support
*Provides day-to-day process support to NDT personnel.
*Documents and approves procedures, work instructions and techniques.
*Provides process-related training and certification.
Process Control and Improvement
*Analyzes, develops and recommends methods to meet production requirements, improve economy and quality, and reduce turn-around-times for products and/or processes with supporting cost analysis.
*Establishes, analyzes, and acts upon measures of performance related to processes.
*Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies relating to equipment and processes to reduce variation and improve reliability.
*Coordinates and interacts with the outside resources including contractors, equipment vendors, and supply vendors for process support, improvement, or repair development.
*Remains current with state-of the-art technologies and processes.
*Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
*Carries out special projects as assigned.

* Certified and qualified Level III per ASNT/ACCPin ET, MT, PT, and UT methods. Those certified as level 3 in at least one of these disciplines may be considered if the candidate has some knowledge and experience in the other disciplines.  Engineering degree preferred but no required.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
*Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
*Strong project management skills.
* Must be authorized to work in the US.
