Responsible for the operation of trucks and tractor trailers in support of the operation, maintenance, and construction of Santee Cooper's generating stations, transmission systems, dams, dikes, and properties. Transports bulk materials in excess of 18 tons to and from specified destinations. This position may be required to work out of town on a continuous basis and be on 24-hour on call status.
Essential Job Tasks:
Completes Pre-Trip inspection at beginning of each work day. Transports bulk materials such as DSM, soil, aggregates, limestone, ash, gypsum, debris, and various materials in support of construction and operation needs in a safe manner.Grease/lubricates trailer twice weekly or as needed.Attends mandated training. Wears reflective safety vests and all required PPE equipment.
High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution + 2 years related experience is required.Must have a valid class A CDL.Must have a satisfactory driving record.
Compensation Information:
$21.55 - $26.90 (min. - mid.)
