Line Technicians assist in the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution facilities to provide reliable electric service to customers.

Location assignments are based on manpower needs. Candidates who are geographically flexible are preferred. You must be willing to relocate in order to meet the reporting requirements. If selected for this position, you may receive an offer of employment with a location yet to be determined. Relocation assistance is available when applicable.
Required qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.Course work or knowledge of electricity.Valid South Carolina driver’s license with good driving history.Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or ability to obtain within six months of hire.Pole climbing proficiency within six months after employment.Excellent physical condition.
Physical Requirements and Activities:
This position involves exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects (very heavy work).Must meet minimum visual requirements for mobile equipment operators.
Reporting Requirements:
Report to their designated crew quarters within 30 minutes when on call.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience operating construction equipment.Graduate of an Electrical Line Worker certificate program.Geographic flexibility.South Carolina CDL.High ambition.Motivation
Compensation Information:
$21.10 - $26.35 (min. - mid.)
