  • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day installation, repair, and maintenance of all Lake Moultrie Water System's Mechanical, Electrical, and instrumentation equipment with the goal of 100% reliability.  Provide expertise in the troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of regional water systems processes and equipment.  Occasionally lend support and assist with maintenance activities at the Lake Marion Water System as needed.

  • Essential Job Tasks:
  • Schedules the work of the mechanical and E&I maintenance crews utilizing the computerized maintenance system (MAXIMO).
  • Conducts continuous job follow up ensuring proper safety procedures and professional maintenance techniques are used.
  • Maintains high productivity among teams.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the water treatment systems so that all goals for safety, cost of water, and availability are met.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and enforces efficient maintenance procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides technical direction, consultation, and training for mechanical and E&I maintenance crews.
  • Ensures technical and professional skill development of water system workforce.
  • Maintains high level of competence among maintenance staff.
  • Coordinates maintenance work and repair efforts with maintenance, operations, planning, outside vendors, and any other groups necessary.
  • Provides supervisory guidance for preventive maintenance programs.
  • Evaluates maintenance trends and recommends changes to increase equipment availability and reduce operating and maintenance costs.
  • Performs maintenance activities and conducts on-the-job training of water treatment maintenance team.

  • High School Diploma/GED + 5 years related experience in Mechanical, SCADA and Electrical process equipment.
  • Must possess supervisory, communication, technical and administrative skills.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade, accommodate overtime and on-call status.

  • Compensation Information:
    $84,280 - $105,350 (min. - mid.)
