The primary responsibility of an Electrical Engineering Intern in System Protection & Control is to assist Supervisor, Technical Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians in the construction, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of substation protection equipment. Additional Responsibilities Pulling and terminating control cable. Moving and operating test equipment. Print reading, trouble-shooting electrical circuits, and control panel fabrication and installation.
The qualified candidate must have: good communication skills ability to work in office and field environments under all weather conditions ability to follow instructions general knowledge of computers
In addition the candidate must: Have completed their first year at a 4-year college or 2-year college (transfer program). Be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at an EAC/ABET accredited school. Must have a valid driver's license. Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen.
This position is for a Summer Internship at our headquarters located slightly west of Charleston in the city of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This internship begins May 20, 2024. Candidate will work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks.
