The primary responsibility of an Analyst in Wholesale Markets is to support senior analyst in the daily operation of The Energy Authority Interface ("Power Marketing") Desk and related activities. This includes system load and financial analyses, energy purchasing and selling, interface activities, energy pricing for non-firm Large Light and Power customers, economic management and dispatch of generating assets. Provide support to senior analyst and supervision in the development of various analyses, preparing financial and other reports, running computer models and preparation and rendering of bills. Generally, the work performed by this position can only be accomplished in an efficient and timely manner through the effective use of computers.



The qualified candidate must:

  • have the ability to follow instructions
  • have general knowledge of computers and associated programs such as Excel and Word


  • In addition the candidate must:
  • Have completed their first year at a 4-year college or 2-year college (transfer program).
  • Be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Math.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen.


  • This position is for a Summer Internship at our headquarters located slightly west of Charleston in the city of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This internship begins May 20, 2024. Candidate will work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks.

    Salary Range
    Rising Sophomore  $17.00 per hour
    Rising Junior  $18.00 per hour
    Rising Senior  $19.00 per hour
