  • This position requires strong technical, analytical and project management aptitude and/or skills. With moderate assistance from more experienced analysts, the person in this position is responsible for providing research, technical support, and financial projections for developing cost-effective customer service programs using collaborative processes. A strong emphasis is placed on the use of continuous improvement tools to develop effective program workflows and program management tools to produce and administer high-quality customer Demand-Side-Management and Beneficial Electrification Programs. Managing several projects simultaneously through individual effort and collaborative project teamwork is required.  Collaborative project teams may be comprised of peers, various levels of leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Essential Job Tasks:

  • With assistance conducts comprehensive electric utility industry and technology research, including regulatory research and analysis on topics such as energy efficiency, demand response, beneficial electrification, electric vehicles and EV charging infrastructure. This research must include segmentation of our customer base to determine which of our customer segments would most likely be interested in these programs.
  • Performs analysis of customers' energy and demand using data collected and/or housed in AMI/MDM/CC&B to further identify customers who are most likely to participate in the offer being developed.
  • Creates project plans that include the scope of work, potential program offers, conduct program risk assessment and potential failure mode analysis, create and maintain rolling action & issues plan (RAIL) timeline with key milestones with clearly defined deliverables.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains project financial models appropriately using avoided system costs and program costs derived from RFIs, RFPs, and/or other reliable financial resources to determine cost benefit, NPV, etc. of the project over its expected life.
  • Leads project team from beginning to end to ensure the projects' success including but not limited to holding project team meetings, develop the team's comprehensive understanding of the SOW and ensuring it is being adhered to, constantly communicate with project team members to ensure project milestones and project deliverables are being met, perform field visits and field meetings when appropriate, interact closely with all internal departments and external organizations as needed to ensure the work is planned and all stakeholders know the plan and the interdependencies of the various bodies of work.
  • Identifies and mitigates issues that could negatively impact the project.
  • Purses process improvements while managing projects in an effort to identify and leverage opportunities that save cost and time.
  • Manages, coordinates, and administers contracts and scopes of work for subcontractors, external contractors and consultants associated with the projects assigned to you.
  • Participates in training opportunities, adhere to all corporate and departmental policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all mandatory training.
  • Serves on various corporate committees as directed, prepare and perform presentations when required and provide training, direction and support to less experienced staff members as required.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned including but not limited to IRP work assignments, ad hoc requests, and annual reporting requirements.

    Financial Analyst I

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Organizational Leadership, Project Management or Engineering is required.

  • Compensation Information:
    $48,920-$61,140 (min.-mid.)

    Financial Analyst II

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Organizational Leadership, Project Management or Engineering + 2 years experience is required.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging stations, building science, commercial and/or residential HVAC principles and equipment, and photo voltaic systems are desirable.

  • Compensation Information:
    $60,820-$76,020 (min.-mid.)
