Supports the Beneficial Use and Pond Closure Department and Manager by reviewing and development of analyses, processing of financial and other reports, data entry and maintenance of computer models, preparation and rendering of bills, ensuring accuracy of invoices and payments, and review of contracts pertaining to financial portions. Assignments are usually performed with direction from staff or manager giving direction. The effective use of a computer and knowledge of spreadsheets and documentation will aid this position in being efficient and effective with the duties.
Essential Job Tasks:
Assists with analyses using a full range of financial, economic, and accounting concepts and principles.Assists with analyses using a full range of financial, economic, and accounting concepts and principles.Assists in the preparation of annual budgets by gathering information from the manager and staff.Assist in the monitoring of department budget and expense data (O&M, Capital Equipment) and prepares monthly budget status reports.Assists with variance explanation and year end projection reports for management.Assists with the coordination of daily and/or weekly truck deliveries for gypsum hauls between CGS & WGS to meet monthly and quarterly gypsum delivery goals for American Gypsum.Assists with the general logistics of pond closure and beneficial use activities.Coordinates, researches, assists, and handles any inquiries related to budget, financial status and cost estimates of active construction projects and capital expenditures.Researches and projects expenditures and proper placement of charges.Completes sampling and processing of beneficial use products.

Financial Analyst I
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering or Finance or other related field. Must have ability to apply financial, economic, accounting, mathematical and statistical principles and thorough knowledge of personal computers and/or programming.
