  • Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of the enterprise database environments. Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Must have a working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of relational and non relational database administration and other related areas. Collaborates with more experienced DBA's and leverage their judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of involved tasks. May provide assistance and reviews the work of others.  A certain degree of creativity, initiative, risk taking and latitude is required.


  • Essential Job Tasks:
  • Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of the enterprise database environments.
  • Maintains schema objects and data access privileges.
  • Monitors, optimizes, and allocates physical data storage.
  • Performs software installation and upgrades.
  • Performs security patching.
  • Performs process documentation and updating.
  • Works on project teams as the DBA SME ensuring database standards are adhered to in support of the organization's web based and client/server software applications.
  • Assists on DBA projects supporting the  Technical DBA lead managing resources and processes to complete assigned work.
  • Partners with various IT staff to resolve issues involving corporate databases and web/client server software applications.
  • Rotates on call every four weeks, responding to database related issues.
  • Implements, maintains, and automates the appropriate backup and recovery policies, procedures and architecture required to recover the enterprise database environments in accordance with the business continuity requirements.

  • Database Administrator II

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related degree with two years experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills enabling creative solutions to business and technical problems.
  • Experience with the complete technical inner-working of an Enterprise Data Base Environment preferred.
  • Experience in the following database systems preferred: Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Application Express (APEX), SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, TOAD, IBM Workload Scheduler, Actifio Copy Data Manager, Xming, and Jira.


  • Compensation Information
    $74,110-$92,630 (min.-mid.)

    Database Administrator III

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related degree with five years experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills enabling creative solutions to business and technical problems.
  • Understanding of operating systems, storage solutions, networking, security, and database backup solutions preferred.
  • HP-UX, Linux, or Windows Server system administration fundamentals preferred.
  •  Experience with the following database management tools preferred: Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Application Express, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server, Quest SQL Navigator, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Actifio Copy Data Manager, BMC Remedy Action Request System, and Attachmate Reflection X.



  • Compensation Information
    $92,120.00-$115,140 (min.- mid.)
