**This is a SCHOLARSHIP program and NOT a full-time job.**
Santee Cooper's Power Associates Program is a competitive scholarship program that prepares high school graduates for rewarding technical careers in the electric utility industry. Students can attend Trident Technical College, Orangeburg-Calhoun or Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
During this two-year program: Participates earn a technical associate's degree Participates gain hands-on experience by working in a generating station, electrical distribution area and/or electrical transmission area. Books, Tuition and supplies are covered by Santee Cooper. Participates earn a competitive wage, receive a weekly stipend and qualify for substantial incentive bonuses each semester based on academic performance. Graduates receive preferential consideration for full-time employment at Santee Cooper.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent by June 2021.
Applicants must complete the online application and include 2-3 paragraphs detailing their interest in the Power Associates Program. Paragraphs should include hobbies, community involvement, favorite classes, etc.
Applicants should obtain a copy of their transcripts prior to starting the application in order to attach them. If you do not have the capability of attaching them please email a copy to:
