The primary responsibility of a Land Agent in Right of Way Management is to provide both administrative and field support associated with non-permissible encroachment enforcement and permissible encroachment request evaluations.
Performs field inspections, when assigned, associated with non-permissible encroachment issues and/or approved requests to ensure encroachment guideline/agreement compliance. Utilizes GIS and associated attribute information to reconcile encroachments reported/requested within transmission line rights-of-way. Documents findings, based on established encroachment guidelines, and forwards findings to appropriate Land Agent. Establishes a hard copy file for new non-permissible and/or permissible encroachment reports/requests while ensuring that all of the required documentation/information, outlined on an established check list, is collected. Forwards files to the appropriate personnel responsible for the writing encroachment agreements and/or determining the proper enforcement action. Locates easements and reviews easement wording for applicable requests and/or enforcement purposes. Records encroachment agreements in the appropriate County RMC office and inputs into the corporate ECM system.

Have completed their first year at a 4-year college or 2-year college (transfer program). Have a valid driver's license. Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen.
This position is for a Summer Internship at our headquarters located slightly west of Charleston in the city of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This internship begins May 18, 2020. Candidate will work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks.
