The primary responsibility of an Electrical Engineering Intern in E&I Maintenance is to assist various departments within a large, coal-fired generating station. Assignments will be made based on need within the departments.
Assisting the Electrical Maintenance Engineer with maintenance projects, working with Maintenance Planners to maintain technical library, and assisting E&I technicians with various work orders.
Responsible for creating electrical wiring diagrams in AutoCad.
Computer data entry may be necessary.
The qualified candidate must:
have the ability to follow instructions
have general knowledge of computers and associated programs such as Excel, Word, and AutoCad
In addition the candidate must:
Have completed their first year at a 4-year college or 2-year college (transfer program).
Be pursuing a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an EAC/ABET accredited school.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen.
This position is for a Summer Internship at our Winyah Generating Station located at 661 Steam Plant Drive, Georgetown, South Carolina. This internship begins May 18, 2020. Candidate will work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks.
