Fuels Dispatch Analyst:
Responsible for gathering and maintaining data for fuel forecast, generation plan and stochastic analysis development. Supports lead analysts in the preparation and analysis of quarterly fuel dispatches and scenarios to support other business functions to include the Authority’s budget and 10 year financial forecast. Must obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Authority’s fuel dispatch model, generation plan model, stochastic model and electric system operations. Supports lead analysts in developing and maintaining dispatch, generation plan and stochastic model software. Supports lead analysts in continually improving the accuracy of the fuel dispatch by monitoring actual vs. projected variances and incorporating findings into future fuel dispatches. Develops skills to back up others in FS&S and for future roles in FS&S and A&F.
Assists with the data collection, from numerous departments, and analysis on fuel costs and rate variances. Assists the area of Energy Risk Control by responding to daily cash margin calls and invoice processing, gathering and updating files with daily commodity data and preparation and distribution of weekly/monthly reporting. Participates in the development of the Fuels Strategy and Supply area’s budget and monitor budget performance throughout the year. Assists in creating and updating presentations; involving working with other departments to ensure consistency.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting (<21 credits beneficial), Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering, Math or Computer Science. Advanced Excel and information technology skills are highly preferred.
