  • Responsible for assisting Engineers, Technical Supervisors and Technicians in the installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of the following Power Delivery assets: Switchyards, control houses, power transformers, power circuit breakers, station service and instrument transformers, automatic circuit interrupters, Wellman voltage regulators, battery banks and chargers, motor operated disconnects (MOD), and metering packages.
  • Assists with the data reviews from the MV90 system for accuracy and validity during the billing cycle.
  • These responsibilities ensure that safe, reliable and economical power is delivered to Santee Cooper's customers with excellent customer support and environmental stewardship.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college/university.
  • A minimum of five years of utility experience required.
  • FE certification required.
  • Emergency Response Team, enter confined space, required to wear a respirator (SCBA, air-supplied, chemical cartridge and dusk mask) and must possess a valid driver's license.
  • On call status and out of town, overnight travel will be required in some situations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited college/university and two years of experience required.

    69,140-86,420 (min-mid)
    Engineer I
    62,010-77,510 (min-mid)
