Best practices knowledge of many disciplines to plan and implement solutions that increase the capability to deliver and present critical enterprise systems and business applications in efficient and highly maintainable methods across the corporation. Provides support in solving technical issues including evaluating, implementing and supporting new technology solutions as they become practical. Responsible for EMC VXN Storage Arrays and Recover Point including design, capacity planning, documentation, configuration, implementation, incident management, monitoring and system upgrades. Provides technical support and analysis to manage supported infrastructure components such as application, database and web server hardware and operating systems, SAN and iSCSI storage, server and storage virtualization, data replication, provisioning, automated operations, network control software, adapters and servers. Experience or capacity to understand performance and condition monitoring systems and technologies. Performs limited project management duties including managing schedules, project teams, and reporting according to the Project Management Office (PMO) standards. Participates in 24 x 7 on-call rotation. Must report to Moncks Corner location.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree with five years experience in the Information Technology field is required.
Good working knowledge and experience of:
Hardware/Software - Experience supporting various Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008, RedHat, Linux), Dell Servers in an enterprise-level Active Directory environment. Working knowledge of Citrix infrastructure including, but not limited to, XenApp (6.5/7.x), Storefront (3.x), Receiver (4.x) and NetScaler (NetScaler Gateway, load balancing and SSL VPN). Storage Area Networks-SAN Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel over Ethernet and iSCSI connectivity and zoning, EMC storage arrays, Dell iSCSI storage arrays, storage replication, data encryption. Backup/Recovery/Virtualization (VMware Technologies). Security Service-Apply hardware and operating system hardening recommendations; Implement security best practices for the OS, hardware and their components; Discover, assess, and resolve OS and hardware vulnerabilities and exploits. Fundamental knowledge of both hardware and software firewalls. Coordinate and assist in actions to install, configure, document, troubleshoot and maintain application environments. Experience with PowerShell scripting (preferred).
