  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of the following Power Delivery assets: Switch yards, control houses, power transformers, power circuit breakers, station service and instrument transformers, automatic circuit interrupters, battery banks and chargers and motor operated disconnects (MOD).
  • These responsibilities ensure that safe, reliable and economical power is delivered to Santee Cooper's customers with excellent customer support and environmental stewardship.



  • High School Diploma/GED with six years experience in Substation Maintenance is required.
  • Associate Degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
  • A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Crane Operator and CDL license required within six months of hire.

  • High School Diploma with two years experience in Substation Maintenance is required.
  • A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.


  • *Will Consider Technician C
  • High School Diploma with one year related experience required.
  • A comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.



  • Compensation Information
    Salary range:
    Technician A 27.25-34.05 (min-mid)
    Technician B 19.90-24.85 (min-mid)
    Technician C 16.20-20.20 (min-mid)
