Assists senior analysts with the development and analyses of periodic long range financial projections of costs and revenues for the electric utility and develops understanding of key reasons for trends and deviations from prior projections. Assists in the preparation of executive-level presentations, annual budgets, pro forma financial statements, and wholesale customer cost-of-service rate studies. Assists in the preparation of ad-hoc analyses and projects without specific instruction and effectively communicates the recommendations to others. Seeks to have an understanding of the content of the Authority's most current financial statements, operating statement, and annual report including the principles of demand, energy, customer power factor, plant load factor, and transformation gains/losses. Jointly develops, maintains, and improves computer models through use of Excel, database queries, etc. Develops understanding of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues and the impact on financial forecasts.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative discipline. Basic understanding of financial, economic, accounting, mathematical, and statistical principles. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems. Proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications with expertise in Excel. Ability to work in a fast paced high volume work environment; strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate within the organization. Ability to manage several overlapping projects at once and be adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy; schedule must be flexible to overtime and deadlines with short lead time. Must have a valid driver’s license.
