Position Description:
Laserflex, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Flat Laser Operator. As a Flat Laser Operator you are responsible for machine set up, part processing and part inspection.

This position is available on 2nd shift. The hours for this position are as follows: Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 1:00am


Roles and Responsibilities:
•   Startup & Shutdown of laser equipment
•   Set-up of correct cutting parameters and laser operation
•   Maintain equipment to ensure proper working conditions
•   Measure and verify that the parts produced meet print specs
•   Safely operate a forklift to handle materials
•   Document basic material, production and quality control issues
•   Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level
•   All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:
•   1- 3 years experience laser operator or similar experience preferred; 6 months of previous manufacturing experience
•   Ability to read blueprints preferred
•   Keen attention to detail with strong organizational skills
•   Ability to manage time effectively and independently
•   Good verbal and written communication skills
•   Team player with a strong, positive attitude
•   Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
