Position Description:
Laserflex, part of the Ryerson family of companies has an opportunity for a Truck Driver in our Hilliard, OH facility. This position is responsible for working with the shipping/receiving department to prepare daily local deliveries using our automatic transmission 25ft box truck.

This position is 1st shift. The hours for this position position works Monday- Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Completes and documents circle checks (pre & post trip) on daily basis
• Reports any defects, deficiencies or repairs regarding the truck/equipment to the Operations Manager
• Reviews shipping documents and organizes daily schedule as per customer needs and geographical locations
• Ensures that all paperwork such as tests reports, packing slips are in order for delivery to the customer
• Ensures that loaded truck can facilitate efficient and safe off loading or re-builds load prior to leaving the facility
• Collects payment for material delivered as required
• Picks up material from locations if required
• Completes and maintains daily log and other paperwork as required
• Maintains good customer relationships
• Occasionally supports the Shipping/Receiving department as a backup

Position Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED is required
• 1 - 3 years of truck driving experience
• Must pass DOT Physical – Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required
• Clean Driver’s Abstract; current driver’s abstract must be submitted
• Knowledge of truck loading capacities and trucking regulations
• Keen attention to detail and strong safety focus
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to the position, in compliance with the provincial regulations and the company’s policies
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb
• Knowledge of warehouse machine and equipment operations, e.g. overhead cranes, forklifts
• Strong customer service orientation; effective oral and written communication skills
