Directs and is responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, procedures and programs to operate the electric and gas distribution system in a safe, reliable and efficient manner with the welfare of employees, customers, the public and shareholders in mind. This position has a very direct impact on the Company’s performance on several key indicators such as System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI), Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI), and Customer Satisfaction by leading various special projects to improve performance on stated initiatives. Maintain and apply a working knowledge of the Exelon Management Model for business controls and meet management’s expectation for conducting effective business. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Minimum:Bachelor’s degree in related field AND 5 or more years of relevant experience OR High school diploma AND 9 or more years of experience in Emergency Preparedness Activities and/or planning, design, operation or maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment on the electrical / gas distribution system. Good computer skills, strong oral and written communications skills, along with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the Company, are necessary.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in related field
