General Summary Statement
Responsible for Management and Nursing Leadership oversight for the Invasive Cardiology and Electrophysiology Department. Responsible for Nursing oversight of the Cardiac Rehab Department. Adheres to Nursing Policies and Procedures and Organizational Goals and Objectives. Responsible for the day to day operations of the department in an efficient and cost effective manner. The clinical manager will work collaboratively with other hospital services, medical staff, and administration to ensure that quality patient care is delivered. Actively supervises the quality of care delivered to patients and participates in departmental QC and performance improvement activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative
1. Supervises and Manages the all Invasive Cardiology and Electrophysiology Department staff. Manages all Cardiac Rehab Nursing Staff.
2. Conducts all activities relating to the hiring, orienting and assessment of newly hired Invasive Cardiology and Electrophysiology Services Staff and Cardiac Rehab Nursing staff, in conjunction with the Nursing staff development program.
Education Training and Experience
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
MSN or other Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of at least 5 years of Critical Care or Invasive Cardiology bedside experience
Prior management or charge RN experience in an Invasive Cardiology or Electrophysiology Unit environment preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Current Pennsylvania RN License.
CPR /ACLS certification required.
RCIS and RCES are required to be attained within 1 year of hire
